True Story...

BFF and I talk every morning during the work week. Our morning talks range from anything to everything. We once shared a friendship with a mutual friend, which will remain nameless. We were close with this person at different times in our lives and simultaneously. We experienced the RAFT of this person at different times in our lives as well. I recently realized that on a weekly basis I have said, "I am so GLAD that I am NOT friends with *name. I'm just soooo glad and I don't think you understand. I will never be friends with her again." Now some may say, "that is so mean", but its not meant in a mean way. It's meant in a way that allows me to fully appreciate my healthy friendships that I have in my life so much more. In addition, without her being in our lives I believe we are able to enjoy the full benefits of our other relationships whether its over the phone, through the internet, or when hanging out. Its all about filling your life with the sweetest foods, the prettiest flowers, the best weather, and the spiciest personalities. Yes, I said spicy. What I DID NOT say was bitter.

FYI: dictionary.reference.com defines spice as, "any of a class of pungent or aromatic substances; a spicy or aromatic odor or fragrance; something that gives zest: a spice of humor in his solemnity; a piquant, interesting element or quality; zest; piquancy ; to give zest, piquancy, or interest to by something added.
