Ouch....?

I didn't know if I wanted to write about this "story" surrounding Beyonce Knowles. I give Beyonce much credit for her hard work and unmatching talent. However, I think I have always questioned her personality and whether she is this vibrant person or some introvert with a bad attitude. I don't think I ever cared...I just liked her music. Miss Beyonce was quoted saying:

" I grew up upper-class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar,” she recalls. “We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons. But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”

I didn't read the whole article. I probably will. I understand that she is trying to clarify what and who her family represents. Unfortunately, it was a very tactless clarification. No one knows, but the Jacksons, how the Jackson kids were raised. And its none of OUR business to say what Mr. and Mrs. Jackson's intentions were for their children's' future. I thought it was a thoughtless and tasteless comment.

As a celeb, you have to sell yourself. There is no way around it. The media and the public don't pay for half-steppers. Its the business. Its like politics. People want to identify with celebs for some odd reason and then their work. But then that makes sense. Would you support someone who didn't at least represent who you are as a person. I don't identify with Paris Hilton and so I have no interest in watching her show.

Beyonce may need a little refining on her interviewing skills.
