The only comment I have is that I wasn't born when Tom Bradley ran for mayor of LA. From what I read, he sounded like a politically conscious man trying to bridge the gap that racism holds. So when the news headlines read, "Could Obama's run for president result in 'The Tom Bradley effect?', it nauseates me. I want to know what effect they are talking about. Is it the effect of unifying the races? Is it the effect of maintaining the gap between the races? Or is it really the effect of getting a man, not just a black man, so close to CHANGE and then we as Americans don't show up to receive that CHANGE. It is our duty as Americans to build the foundation of the idea of CHANGE. We NEED to show up on Nov. 4th and build this foundation, so the right person can give us what we NEED as Americans. Here it is:
the CAUSE= CHANGE
the EFFECT= SHOW UP NOV. 4th
