This weeks FALL MUST-HAVE.....ITS FASHION WEEK IN NY!!!!

This week is Fashion Week in NY. Yippeeeee!!! This is the week when all designer let their fall and winter '08 lines loose on the runway. This week I don't have a specific must-have. I used this week to pick up on some style tips for fall and winter, and I also found how right I was as far as fall style predictions. I was right on it on most things. Although some items were completely new to me. If you're really into fashion, I suggest that you time out to see what was SMOKIN' hot this week in NY. I typically pick out things that scream, "ME!", and then I add my own flavor to that particular style. I didn't have much time to watch a lot of the Fashion Week on TV, but I caught up via internet. Here are few styles that were very prominent during this fascinating and talented week:

Graphic black & white print (see Blake)- You can find this item just about anywhere that's fashion forward. I always tend see and purchase a lot of graphic black and white print in the I.N.C. section of Macy's...just a suggestion.

Batwing Sleeves (see Zoe Saldana)- OMG!!! I saw this one coming. I've purchased a couple during the late summer! So this should be an easy look to find. You can pair with just about any type of bottom such as, wide legs, jeans, slacks, skirts, crops, etc. This search this item in department stores, Arden B., Guess, BeBe, etc.

Leather Jacket (see Ellen Pompeo)- Saw this one too!!! Personally I own two...one brown and one black. I love motorcycle jackets for women. They're so edgy, yet fitted enough to look really feminine. This style can be worn with jeans, slacks, and just about anything that will appear BALANCED. Search department stores and specialty leather stores.

Vests (see Charlize Theron)- This one carried over! This was a statement piece last year. Vests grew very popular over the last year. We are now seeing all kinds of vest styles. I enjoy the fitted vest as well as the free flowing open vest. You can find this item in department stores or any fashion forward retail location.

In closing:

Take time out to checkout Fashion Week!
