This weeks FALL MUST-HAVE

I decided to do something a little different for "This weeks FALL MUST-HAVE". This is going to be a very busy fall for us all this year, so its very important that remain sane through all types of insanity. We have the presidential elections in November. We have to prepare ourselves for Christmas shopping with high prices, gas mayhem, and lower household incomes. We have to switch wardrobes as the seasons change. All of these things are followed by several unexpected happenings and daily catastrophic decisions. So I have a quick fix! Pick and create your own "sanity meets comfort" room or space. This is a room where you can be surrounded with your favorite colors, decor, and personalized items. Your "sanity meets comfort" space may be indoor or outdoor patio, a walk-in closet, kitchen, bathroom, living room, family room, anything that brings you to a calming level. Just remember, pick a space in your home that gives you the most peace. I personally enjoy my contemporary-styled bedroom. My themed color is chocolate, and this fall teal and cream are my accent colors. I find that the chocolate color is incredibly neutral, so sometimes I will switch up the teal with yellow, pink, white, or even lavender. I love to drown my my bed in soft and calming down comforter and pillows of different sizes and styles. My sleigh bed, made for only a princess, adds a perfect touch to my serene space. I personalize my bedroom with artwork that represent me as a person. My chocolate (dark cherry wood) dresser stands incredibly tall and rich. My dresser displays contemporary styled vases and a flat screen TV, movie style...lol! I fill a corner of my bedroom with a 3' tall white vase filled with 6'-8' chocolate colored sticks. I find my room to be incredibly simple, yet modern and chic. I add other simple touches every now then but its me and it gives me my own style of peace, sanity, and comfort.

Personalizing Tips:

This idea is open to both men and women. The important part of personalizing your space is that it should be FUN. If you are someone who loves change, use neutral colors (browns, blacks, greys, whites, navy, etc) so that they are easy to match with other colors. Take a look at Nikki Hilton's master bedroom, Miley's comfort zoned bedroom, and Josh Groban's dining area. They may bring a few ideas for what you would like to do with your "sanity meets comfort" space.
